Scaling Our Impact Through Fiscal Sponsorship
The Challenge
Africa-based non-US development organizations often struggle to secure funding due to lack of formal legal structures, while donors avoid direct support citing high risk and administrative challenges, creating a bottleneck that leaves these local organizations underfunded despite their proximity to community issues and solutions.
The Financing Alliance for Health launched its fiscal sponsorship program with the Africa Frontline First (AFF) as its first sponsored project. Since then, it has added a number of other fiscally sponsored projects, including CHU4UHC, the Missing Billion Initiative, and the Nursing and Midwifery Association (NMA).
Our Solution
As a fiscal sponsor, we leverage our 501(c)3 status as well as full breadth of resources, networks to be a bridge between global funders and African-led solutions, increasing equitable access to resources.
African-Led & Locally Rooted
We have a deep understanding of the regional landscape. We are headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya and have worked in 16 countries across the continent.
Dual Registration
We are registered as a 501(c)(3) charity in the USA and as an NGO in Kenya with an Equivalency Determination, ensuring both global and local compliance.
Flexible and competitive fees
Our revenue model balances donor affordability with long-term sustainability for sponsored programs to drive impact. Our fees are more cost-effective than international fiscal sponsors.
