Our Mission

Our Values

We challenge and disrupt the status quo for impact

We are curious, passionate and effective in our approach

We are driven to support the well-being of communities

Respect and trust are the basis of our relationships

Our Strategy

Transforming financing for impact at scale

By focusing on the 4 pillars, we seeks to transform health financing and therefore strengthen primary health care, integrate community health workers into health systems, and advance universal health coverage.

The Money

The goal is to increase the amount, mix and alignment of community health funding to reduce the annual funding gap in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2027

The Policies

The goal is to demonstrate practical paths to achieving sustainable community health financing & advocate for inclusion of community health in primary healthcare, universal healthcare and global health security policies

The Skills

The goal is to equip African governments with health financing skills, in turn leading to the upskilling and fair compensation of their primary and community health workforce

The People

The goal is to strengthen and elevate ecosystem partnerships through thought leadership and convening relevant actors

Gender Integration Strategy

FAH's Gender Integration Strategy emphasizes the critical role of gender norms, roles, and relationships in influencing health outcomes.

By incorporating gender considerations into all aspects of our programs, the strategy aims to ensure equitable access to health resources and improve overall well-being. This approach not only promotes women empowerment but also enhances the effectiveness and sustainability of health interventions.

Powered by our our amazing team

We are committed to creating opportunities for the Global South, particularly for women and youth, to have a voice in shaping and influencing the policies that affect them.

Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, FAH has a staff of about 55 people, with diverse backgrounds and in-depth experience in public sector, private sector, as well as health and finance expertise in developing contexts.
